Awareness-raising workshop offered in Brossard
A group of young people who worked on the development of the “What if I was wrong? When We Talk, We Learn!” campaign offered an awareness workshop in Brossard. This workshop was presented in the form of a quiz and covered topics related to the five main themes of the campaign. More specifically, the group of young people between the ages of 12 to 13 years old discussed stereotypes and their perceptions of the portrayal of these stereotypes in the media, intimidation awareness, social inequalities and discrimination.
In addition, these exchanges allowed us to open a dialogue on solutions through youth and citizen engagement and to encourage these young people to reflect on our prejudices and how to deconstruct them. This workshop was organized with the grouping of Brossard Youth Centres at the Maison de Jeunes l’Escalier en Mon Temps.
